Life and Disability

Syracuse University provides benefits-eligible employees with a base level of life insurance and income protection, with options to purchase supplemental coverage for yourself and your family members at favorable group rates. Premiums for supplemental coverage, with the exception of supplemental accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), are deducted on an after-tax basis, making any benefits received non-taxable.

Enrolling in supplemental coverage includes important value-added benefits, too.

Life and disability insurance are critical components of your financial planning.  Review these pages to understand the protections available through your benefit program.
